![]() The casino was friendly enough with quick links to a shopping mall and cut through to the Excalibur next door. I did enjoy the breakfast but didn't get that feeling of Vegas excess. ![]() The food was of basic quality and nowhere near the selection of the previously mentioned hotel. One day we ventured down to the breakfast buffet which was around $27 dollars after tax, again having such wonderful experiences at the Cosmopolitan I was expecting something approaching that kind of standard - I was a little disappointed. ![]() I am not sure if I am being too harsh though as the previous two times I've been to Vegas I have stayed at the far swankier Cosmopolitan. It was okay.well average really, it had an iron/ board, safe and basic toiliteries, the decoration was a little shabby in places but nothing that would offend. All the rooms are on the inside skin of the pyramids walls leaving a vast and towering open space for the casino, restaurants and some shopping. Initially walking through the main entrance into the foyer was very impressive, I would say the building looks far taller on the inside as opposed to on the outside. ![]() The hotel itself is obviously the very distinctive pyramid shape that helps define it amongst the other titans of the strip. Two friends and I stayed whilst the boxing was on recently as part of a package deal - The Luxor was the hotel stipulated within the package. ![]()
